Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire

Godzilla and the almighty Kong face a colossal threat hidden deep within the planet, challenging their very existence and the survival of the human race.

Godzilla and Kong. Two monster who I love seeing kick ass. I really have enjoyed this monsterverse we have had this past couple of years. While I haven’t seen the 2014 Godzilla movie I liked Kong: Skull Island and I loved both Godzilla: King Of Monsters and of course Godzilla VS Kong. So I was really excited for this movie, especially  after all the trailers started coming out. And I’m happy to say, I loved this movie!

The action sequences are awesome, and the movie does a great job of having good human characters but keeping them secondary to the monsters. I love they arc they give Kong in this movie, I think the villain while not the best villain they’ve done in this franchise is still really cool and has some great moments. The soundtrack is also great.

But I do have some slight negatives. For one it’s pretty clear this movie was supposed to just be a Kong movie but then they shoehorned in Godzilla to make more money. Don’t get me wrong Godzilla has some great moments! But he doesn’t do much for the good first half of the movie, they do a good job giving him a presence in the movie but while Kong has a big story in the first half, Godzilla doesn’t. Also I do like the villain but his design could be better. If you’ve seen the movie you know what I mean.

But those are the only real negatives, I loved this movie! I think it was a ton of fun and I recommend it if you wanna see two monsters get into awesome fights.
