As storm season intensifies, Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves in a fight for their lives as multiple systems converge over central Oklahoma.
When I first saw the trailer for Twisters I thought it was one thing, and that thing is DUMB. Look I love Glen Powell, but a blockbuster centered around tornados? I mean maybe would’ve been interesting a hundred years ago when the first came out (yes this is techinically a sequel although it totally ignores the original so it feels more like a reboot) but today in an era with Marvel and Avatar, just why? But then I saw the early reviews, people loved it, said it was great even. And again I love Glen Powell so I got more excited, and then I watched the movie, and Glenn Powell I am so sorry I doubted any movie you are in because this movie was exactly one thing AWESOME.
Yes I was wrong and I’ll take the L proudly because I think this movie is great! I mean first the entire cast is great from Anthony Ramos, David Corenswet, like I said the impeccable Glenn Powell, but my favorite character was actually not him but the main character Kate, played by Daisy Edgar-jones. I mean she was easily the best performance in the entire film. The movie also does a great job of making tornados genuinely scary while also have awesome action sequences, and moments where you are entirely locked into the movie.

I will say it’s not perfect some of the supporting characters are just really annoying, I mean all some of them ever do is just yell, and some of the dialogue is really corny because the keep saying “chasin” not chasing chasin (if you seen the movie you know what I mean) they mean as in chasing storms. But it just comes of as dumb when a character says “Do you even know who you’re chasin’ for?!” Like bro what.
But those are minor complaints, all and all this was actually a great movie! Filled with great characters, set pieces, action, suspense, everything you could want in a blockbuster something that feels like an instant classic. So all in all only Twister was only one thing, AWESOME.

See it.
